SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) Also known as "skuzzy". SCSI is an interface used to transmit digital data and to connect computers to peripheral devices. An industry standard interface for hard drives tape drives, disk drives and other storage devices that allows for very fast transfers of information.
SCSI is widely used today and is supported by all major operating systems.
SCSI uses 16-bit bus that is capable of transfering data up to 80 MegaBytes per second (80 MBps) and allowes up to 7 or 15 devices to be connected to a single SCSI port ( also known as Daisy-Chain )
SCSI is designed with a foil and braid shield overwrapping a twisted-pair construction, providing maximum immunity to EMI/RFI interference combined with a 132 Ohm impedence wire appropriate for faster bus speeds.
